Comet Software Accelerates with Four Strategic Acquisitions

Comet Software, the French group of vertical software publishers, today announced the acquisitions of Cover 3D, MeSoigner, Silicon DNA, and Statigest, four leading software companies in their respective markets. These transactions follow the €60 million fundraising from Alpera Partners in April 2024 and highlight both Comet Software’s ambition and the attractiveness of its long-term decentralized model for software entrepreneurs.

Four vertical software acquisitions

These acquisitions strengthen Comet Software’s position across vertical markets in construction, pharmacy, financial services, and consumer goods. The group now reaches €14 million in consolidated revenue with an EBITDA margin above 30%, serving over 5,000 clients and employing around 100 people in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

By joining Comet Software, the companies will continue to operate autonomously, preserving their entrepreneurial DNA, while benefiting from tailored operational and financial support to accelerate long-term growth. Their founders and executives have also reinvested a significant amount into Comet Software, becoming co-shareholders of the group.

Beyond these first four acquisitions, Comet Software intends to maintain its rapid growth and is targeting €100 million in revenue by 2027. The group is currently in discussions with several additional software publishers in French-speaking Europe.

A strong community of vertical software entrepreneurs

Axel Jonsson, co-founder and CEO of Comet Software, stated:

“Cover 3D, MeSoigner, Silicon DNA, and Statigest are all market leaders founded by outstanding entrepreneurs and led by talented teams. We value the expertise and deep market knowledge they bring, and we are proud to welcome them into Comet Software. They will keep their identity and independence, while benefiting from the group’s operational and financial support to deliver the best products and services to their clients, and the best working environment for their teams. We are also very pleased that their leaders have chosen to reinvest significantly in Comet Software, showing their confidence in our model and their long-term commitment.”

Christof Hullaert, CEO of Cover 3D, said:

“Joining Comet Software is a great opportunity for Cover 3D. We believe this partnership will allow us to strengthen our leadership while preserving our independence and culture of innovation. We look forward to working with Comet Software to deliver even stronger solutions to our clients.”

Amaury de Chalain, Managing Director and co-founder of MeSoigner, added:

“MeSoigner has always aimed for excellence in designing and deploying solutions for pharmacists. With Comet Software’s support, we can now accelerate our growth, gaining access to new resources and a network of entrepreneurs who share the same values and challenges.”

Thierry Drot, co-founder and CEO of Silicon DNA, commented:

“Silicon DNA is excited about this new chapter with Comet Software. We share the same long-term vision and commitment to technological excellence. With Comet Software’s backing, we will continue to deliver innovative solutions to our clients while strengthening and accelerating our growth.”

Laurent Chahine, Managing Director of Statigest, concluded:

“Joining Comet Software aligns perfectly with our ambition to take Statigest into its next chapter of growth, while continuing to operate as an independent company within a larger group. The long-term vision and entrepreneurial DNA of Comet Software are fully aligned with our values as a family business created nearly fifty years ago. By joining this ambitious community of vertical software publishers, we will gain the opportunity to share experiences and best practices.”
